JEE Main 5 April 2024, Shift 1, Physics Q52

Question 52 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 22 of 30, Section B.

Three blocks M1M_1, M2M_2, M3M_3 having masses 4 kg, 6 kg and 10 kg respectively are hanging from a smooth pulley using rope 1, 2 and 3 as shown in figure. The tension in the rope 1, T1T_1 when they are moving upward with acceleration of 2 ms−22\,\mathrm{ms^{-2}} is ________ N(if g=10 m/s2g = 10\ \mathrm{m/s^2}).

The figure, in words

Smooth pulley at top with rope 1 (tension T1) holding block M1 (4 kg); rope 2 (T2) hangs M2 (6 kg) below M1; rope 3 (T3) hangs M3 (10 kg) below M2. Weights marked 4g, 6g, 10g; acceleration 2 m/s^2 marked beside the pulley.
