JEE Main 27 June 2022, Shift 2, Physics Q43

Question 43 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 13 of 30, Section A.

Two long parallel conductors S1_1 and S2_2 are separated by a distance 10 cm and carrying currents of 4A and 2A respectively. The conductors are placed along xx – axis in X-Y plane. There is a point P located between the conductors (as shown in figure). A charge particle of 3π3\pi coulomb is passing through the point P with velocity v→=(2i^+3j^)\overrightarrow{v} = (2\hat{i} + 3\hat{j}) m/s; where i^\hat{i} & j^\hat{j} represents unit vector along xx & yy axis respectively. The force acting on the charge particle is 4π×10−5(−xi^+2j^) N4\pi \times 10^{-5}(-x\hat{i} + 2\hat{j})\ N. The value of xx is :

The figure, in words

X, Y and Z axes drawn from origin O. Two horizontal parallel conductors: S1 (upper) carrying 4A with arrow pointing right, and S2 (lower) carrying 2A with arrow pointing right; the separation between S1 and S2 is marked 10 cm. Point P lies between them, with a distance of 4 cm marked between S1 and P.
