JEE Main 25 June 2022, Shift 2, Physics Q33

Question 33 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 3 of 30, Section A.

A disc with a flat small bottom beaker placed on it at a distance RR from its center is revolving about an axis passing through the center and perpendicular to its plane with an angular velocity ω\omega. The coefficient of static friction between the bottom of the beaker and the surface of the disc is μ\mu. The beaker will revolve with the disc if :
  1. (1)R≤μg2ω2R \leq \frac{\mu g}{2\omega^2}
  2. (2)R≤μgω2R \leq \frac{\mu g}{\omega^2}Official answer
  3. (3)R≥μg2ω2R \geq \frac{\mu g}{2\omega^2}
