JEE Main 25 July 2021, Shift 2, Physics Q12

Question 12 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 12 of 30, Section A.

Two ideal electric dipoles A and B, having their dipole moment p1p_1 and p2p_2 respectively are placed on a plane with their centres at O as shown in the figure. At point C on the axis of dipole A, the resultant electric field is making an angle of 37° with the axis. The ratio of the dipole moment of A and B, p1p2\frac{p_1}{p_2} is : (take sin⁡37°=35\sin 37° = \frac{3}{5} )

The figure, in words

A horizontal line (axis of dipole A) runs through O to point C on the right. Dipole A is on this line with a dot marked '-' at A (left of O) and a dot marked '+' to the right of O. Dipole B is on a vertical line through O with a dot marked '-' at the top (label B) and a dot marked '+' at the bottom. C lies on the horizontal line far to the right of O.
