JEE Main 9 January 2020, Shift 1, Physics Q6

Question 6 of 75 in this shift, Physics question 6 of 25, Section A.

Water flows in a horizontal tube (see figure). The pressure of water changes by 700 Nm−2700\ \mathrm{Nm^{-2}} between A and B where the area of cross section are 40 cm240\ \mathrm{cm^{2}} and 20 cm220\ \mathrm{cm^{2}}, respectively. Find the rate of flow of water through the tube. (density of water =1000 kgm−3=1000\ \mathrm{kgm^{-3}})

The figure, in words

A horizontal tube drawn with dashed horizontal lines inside it (flow lines); the tube is wide at the left where point A is marked with a dot, narrows to a constriction where point B is marked with a dot, then widens again to the right. Caption (Fig) below.
